  1. Why did you choose to study abroad? I have always wanted to go to France and after learning French for eight years, I wanted the opportunity to visit the city of lights! It was really fun to practice my French and figure out the metro!
  2. Where did you study abroad and what program? Paris, France. The Spring Break French Civilization in Paris program (a faculty led program led by Professor Jane Houston)
  3. How would you describe your overall experience abroad? I had an incredible time, everything felt magical and it was a real eye-opener into the possibilities that were out there for me. It put into perspective just how big the world is and that being able to go abroad or live abroad is a real possibility for me.
  4. Do you have any advice for other Hispanic/Latinx students considering study abroad? Do it! It’s an opportunity to develop many skills. Learning to navigate in a foreign country can help you problem solve as you are on on your own to an extent depending on your program.
